How Telangana State was formed on 2nd June 2014?
Ans: Due to the agitations of TRS Party, JAC, Osmania and Kakatiya University students, Employees and all the Telangana people Central Government convened an all party meeting on 28th December 2012. Eight important leaders representing all the leading political parties attended the meeting. Along with Andhra political leaders MIM and CPM also denied formation of separate Telangana state.
As Congress party leaders from Coastal Andhra opposed Telangana state formation, Congress party leaders from Telangana aspired for formation of Telangana state. TDP kept silent and always escaped answering regarding Telangana. Whenever a popular movement was organized by Telangana people, TDP leaders used to keep themselves busy with another work, just to escape expressing its stand regarding Telangana. Two eyes theory of TDP party was criticized by Telangana people. TDP leaders longed for Andhra Pradesh but Chandra Babu Naidu did not wish to speak about it openly.
After this meeting, Congress government at centre said that it would take decision regarding Telangana with in 30days.
Coastal Andhra leaders tried their level best to stop this process. Telangana Bill was accepted in Lokh Sabha on 18th February 2014.
On 20th February 2014, Telangana bill was accepted in Rajyasabha also.
On 1st March 2014, President of India accepted Telangana Bill.
Central Government Gazette 2nd March 2014: As per the aspirations of Telangana people, Telangana state was formed on 2nd June 2014, as the 29th state in India.
General Elections were conducted in 2014 for both parliament and Telangana Assembly.
T.R.S. party and Congress party contested the elections without any tie ups with other parties.

T.R.S. party, under the leadership of KCR, won highest number of seats both for parliament and assembly and formed Government on 2nd June 2014. K.C.R. is the first chief minister of Telangana State.
